Sylver Logan‘s voice and namesake jewelry line, Sylverwear, keep her in the company of “who’s who.” She has performed and/or recorded with Yolanda Adams, Patti Labelle, Michael Bolton, Roberta Flack, and Whoopi Goldberg – to name a few. And her Sylverwear clients include Elton, Nile Rodgers, Chaka Khan, and Donna Summer, again to name just a few.

Sylver spoke with this Web site about the former. . . .

”I  met and worked with Sir Elton John several years ago when I was the lead singer of the group, Chic, with Nile Rodgers 1991-2010.

”We went to perform for an event at one of his houses in London and he and I had a beautiful moment. In our sound check, I presented him with a little gift from my jewelry line, Sylverwear …(I figured that was the one thing he wouldn’t already have) and he loved it. He noticed that some of my band members, were wearing their personal pieces of Sylverwear and he asked me to show him everything I had after the show we did together.

”So, after the show, I went to the main house, sat in the kitchen with him and David (Furnish) and he purchased EVERYTHING I BROUGHT WITH ME. . . . By far one of the BEST moments in my life, never mind performing with him!!!

Needless to say that sparked a creative energy I cannot explain. Talk about inspiration! I called my mother/business partner immediately as said “we must create some Sylverwear JUST for him!” and we did!

”Agates, crystals and the best of the best went into a Sylverwear custom creation necklace masterpiece, simply named, ‘The Elton.’ Each ‘Elton’ is a little different, making them all truly one of a kind. A Sylverwear signature.

Chic worked with Sir Elton again the following year for the We Are Family Foundation where he arrived by helicopter, popped on stage to do a few songs with us and rolled out to his next event.

We were literally on stage, having a quick video presentation while they were rushing him to the stage.  During the video, we greeted and hugged each other and he said, ‘there’s my jewelry lady’ . . .  I whispered to him that I had a surprise for him, but, because his visit was so quick and “on stage”, I didn’t get to give him his ‘Elton’ that night.

”Only a very few people own one of our signature ‘Eltons.’ . . . They are, Nile Rodgers, Omar Hakim (drummer/producer) , Yolanda Adams (gospel star/radio personality), Daryl Hunt (producer), Raymond Reeder (singer/songwriter), Tony Terry (R&B star/actor) and the late Alli Ollie Woodson, of the Temptations.

I have since been doing my solo thing and my new CD, The Groovement, will be released at the top of 2016. . . .

Sir Elton’s original ‘Elton’ boxed up and ready, until the next time we meet!”
