Next year, The House of Nutter: The Rebel Tailor of Savile Row is to be published.

Author Lance Richardson tells EJW that despite the title, this is actually about two people: Tommy Nutter and his brother, David Nutter. The latter, who has worked with Lance extensively, was Elton’s photographer and friend for years.

”So the book tells the story of their relationship and features many of David’s photos, some of which have not been seen before. There are two photo-essay chapters; the second one concerns the 1976 Louder Than Concorde tour EJ did that David’s covered.

”The book came about because a friend of mine – a film producer – said she thought Tommy would make a provocative film subject. I investigated, and, as often happens, the plot thickened. I met David and a whole family saga unfolded that covers everything from evacuations during WWII to Studio 54 and, of course, the rise of AIDS.”

Eltonjohnworld.com will have more about The House of Nutter as the date of publication (May 2018) draws closer.
