Elton John has been announced to perform a live solo show in October 2023 in the Dominican Republic. That’s an island in the Caribbean.

Barely two months since Elton ended what was described as his last tour and hanged up his travel gear in an emotional two-nighter in Stockholm, Sweden, the star has been billed to perform again.

We are also aware of at least one second show, although the venue has not been determined.

If you bend it, this is not a tour, it is a small series of performances. But is this too soon? Will this confuse the public?

Already Elton John World has been the recipient of fan emails complaining about the near $1000 ticket price in a very intimate setting and accusing the star of being insensitive. But is Elton listening?

Our US correspondent Cheryl Herman is compiling fan views for publication and would love to hear from you what you think of the plan to go ahead with the gig in October. You can email her here by 9 September 2023 to have your voice included. We want your real thoughts on this. Thanks in advance!
