Antoine kindly wrote in this weekend to confirm that Elton indeed has speakers manufactured by high-end audio maker PMC.
A year ago, Radio Elton John interviewed Peter Thomas, who has perhaps the biggest collection of Elton John recorded audio in the world. During the making of the episode, Peter confided that Elton had speakers in his Berkshire mansion that might well be PMC. What followed was a lovely connection, since Peter himself worked at the BBC in the 1970s.

“Since PMC’s Peter Thomas was previously featured on Radio Elton John, I thought it worth mentioning that Elton happens to have a pair of that company’s fact.8 speakers (in white silk finish) in his own ‘vinyl room’, as seen in this video.”:
“I happen to own a pair of fact.12 speakers (also in white silk finish). I bought them long before finding about PMC’s founder being an Elton fan and Elton himself owning a pair of the smaller model!”
