Elton’s First Public Appearance After His Health Update
Many wondered if Elton would attend the premiere of his new documentary, after learning he was recovering from a serious eye infection.
Elton was at last night’s Toronto International Film Festival screening, along with Never Too Late directors David Furnish and R.J. Cutler, and wished he could see the audience. He could feel them, though.
During a Q&A after Never Too Late was shown, Elton addressed the subject of fame. He said, ”It’s a dangerous thing without something else–and that something else is honesty.”
Elton believes family is more important than fame. The singer started to cry as he remarked, ”On my tombstone, I don’t want it to say he sold a million records.
”I want it to say he was a great dad and great husband.”
