From one studio to another! We always knew that one meeting with Miles Aldridge, son of the famous artist who illustrated Captain Fanastic And the Brown Dirt Cowboy album Alan Aldridge, was never going to be enough.
Miles talked on the latest episode of Saturday Night’s Alright (for podcasting), the exclusive interview series on Radio Elton John, about how brilliant and cooperative Elton was for the photoshoot for Time Magazine last year, and the results millions were able to admire later.
So George Matlock, presenter of Radio Elton John popped over to see Miles in his London (art) studio this week and beg Miles to autograph a print of Miles’ superb Elton John Time Magazine cover from December 2024.
Miles also took the opportunity to add some more snippets about Elton. Recently, the Rocketman was gifted Miles’s photo catalogue and within an hour Miles received a phone call from Elton’s staff asking to buy two limited edition artworks from Miles’s New York gallery. As well as a seasoned photographer, Miles is a gifted artist like his late father.

Suffice to say, Elton has an eye for the arts!
