Blue, the band signed onto Elton’s Rocket Records label in the 1970s, are soon releasing an album of new material called Heaven Avenue.
I had the privileged pleasure on June 26, 2002, to listen to some of the early cuts, including the title track, which is a stormer of a song.
Detroit-based Blue founder member Ian MacMillan flew into the UK recording studio that Blue use these days to work on the recording.
The band’s record label manager, Matt Nicholson of The Record Label, said the release could be in October 2002.
