Welcome to ENCORE! on REJ.World.
FULL EPISODE: Dave Richmond is a very unassuming character, the perfect persona for a successful session musician. Working on hits for Serge Gainsbourg and Jane Birkin, Cilla Black, Olivia Newton-John and Labi Siffre, he began on hit 5-4-3-2-1 by Manfred Mann and later John Barry Seven. An accomplished double bassist and bass guitarist, Dave added his tones to Border Song, The Greatest Discovery as well as the seminal Your Song. Hear how the army set him up on bass, how Keith Mansfield from KPM set his head right about being successful at session music. Also enjoy Pinner's latest offering It Started As His Song.
