Radio Elton John studios in London were the target of a break-in last week.

High optic cameras caught the assailant (noticeable in the corridor trying to break out of the studio facilities). He was locked in and spent the night at REJ. Like a lot of our listeners!

Following investigations, the culprit has been identified as REJ trainee DJ Bill Hornblower.

The zealous team member broke the padlock to gain access to the studio Wednesday evening, and proceeded to fool around with a verbal rampage.

No equipment was damaged, but an unusual unscripted  presentation followed, with DJ Bill hoping he had recorded it privately – but which was publicly recorded.

So we got to hear it on Friday morning, once it surfaced during an audit.

During his audacious apperance, DJ Bill, a self-confessed mid-life transfer case, made the career-cramping move uninvited when he decided to spoil the launch of an exciting reset for REJ.World.

He explained to would-be listeners about all-new Platinum for the price of a coffee, and the launch of the REJ app coming in June 2026! All the things which George planned to wax lyrical about in coming weeks were unceremoniously revealed in this impromptu episode of ENCORE!

Still, the changes are so huge, we agreed on one thing with Bill: they deserved their very own episode. We added it already to REJ Platinum channel and REJ Silver channel listeners will get it on 6 June 2026. He survived.
