Rachael Hurst, Marketing Manager at Lincolnshire Showground, has shared information about Elton’s upcoming engagement with this Web site.

She says there will be a temporary arena.

”It is being supplied and put up by Elton’s team, and as far as we understand it’s been used before and is being used for a number of his events this year.

”In addition, we’ve helped to arrange on-site catering using local producers etc, and there will no doubt be units created to sell merchandise etc.”

Hurst adds: ”We are looking to create a time-lapse video of the arena being built, which will be available to view shortly online after his concert on the 10th of June.”

Elton’s staffers are working with the Arena Group. Last year, Arena Seating, which is part of the company, created temporary outdoor spaces for Elton’s UK tour, which kicked off at the end of May at the Kent County Showground. Contracted by promoter Marshall Arts, Arena Seating supplied 10,891 flat chairs and 3,440 tiered tip-up seats for 2015’s first outdoor summer concert from Elton and his band.

Dave Withey, Arena Group UK & Europe sales and marketing director, explained: “Kent County Showground and the other outdoor venues on the tour are completely flat locations, without any existing seating or infrastructure.

“We’ve worked with Marshall Arts on more Elton John tours than we can count. He always likes to take his music to venues and locations that are stereotypically off the main touring circuit, which is fantastic for his fans but means more investment into infrastructure to create the right atmosphere.

“Using temporary seating to create an arena bowl makes the most of the space and gives a more enclosed, personal feel for both Elton John and his audience. Tiered, temporary seating allows event organisers to choose virtually any location or open space.”

As well as the temporary concert seating, Arena Seating designed and built the 80-capacity access viewing platform, to ensure the whole crowd could benefit from excellent sight lines at the show.

Despite the bad weather, the first install went smoothly, and Arena was soon onsite at the next outdoor venue, Eirias Stadium in Colwyn Bay. Other spots the company built at were Kingsholm Stadium in Gloucester; Banks Stadium in Walsall; Westmorland Country Showground near Kendal, and the AECC Aberdeen

Hannah Viney, who does PR and marketing for Arena, told Eltonjohnworld.com that she will be attending the star’s Longleat event on June 12. So photos and information about Elton’s 2016 UK tour will be available at Arena‘s Web site around this time.
