Headlines travelling through social media this weekend suggest that Elton John is embarking on a tour in 2026, breaking a promise to heartbroken fans he made in 2023. At the time, Elton agreed to make one-off performances and even a residence at the Royal Albert Hall in London was mooted.

So far only 28 fans “liked” the post, which suggests that few of us have been duped by the report.
A Facebook page with 8,000 followers can grow on misguided or uninformed “scoops” and while we have fewer followers we know them and we value them and they in turn trust us to be honest and clear with them, unlike some of the fake news and AI-generated news online that eltonjohnworld and rej.world have campaigned against. We may take longer to deliver, but we don’t dump broken goods at your doorstep!

The story offers no attributions, quotes or sources and claims that ticket vendors are already taking pre-bookings.
We bring this report to you not to draw even more attention to what sounds very wobbly, but to draw your attention away from unsubstantiated news coverage. We also condemn irresponsible fan Facebook pages peddling unsubstantiated reports from unverified sources, which can only bring distress to Elton, his family and artificially excite his fans needlessly. We don’t believe Elton should be given a bad name and fake news that contradicts his previous statements does precisely that.
