Bernie Taupin has said that imagination is the most powerful tool artists have ”when conjuring up beautiful distractions for the eyes and ears.” And his own pieces are ”simply the visual extension of what I have spent my life creating through words.”
Bernie’s next art exhibit will be at the Off The Wall Gallery in Houston, Texas. It runs from 25 March through the 12th of April and features two of his collections,.
On view will be Reflections, a celebration of his partnership with Elton. One piece is a reference to the Liberty Records ad which brought the songwriters together. Many others are from the songs themselves, including ”Hold Me Closer” and ”The Right Romantic Line.”
Also being shown in Houston is Bernie’s collaboration with Terry O’Neill, a re-working of the late photographer’s sixties images.
A publicist tells ej.w that Bernie will be at the gallery from 5-7 p.m. on the 28th and 29th of March to speak with and interact with his collectors . . . ”and all the gallery’s guests.
”It truly is an opportunity to meet and speak with him about his art, his music, and his journey.”
