Accolades For Elton, Bernie, And Davey
Bernie Taupin will be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame on Friday night, at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. Today at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, Ohio, is the opening of an exhibit featuring the Class of 23. So there will be artefacts for Bernie and the other honorees, the Rock Hall‘s Tia Dannemiller told ej.w.
And soon Elton and Davey Johnstone are to be feted.
Elton is the recipient of the Specsavers Global Artist Award, while Davey will receive the Sir Reo Stakis Foundation Special Recognition Award at the Specsavers Scottish Music Awards on 4 November.
Elton said that Scotland is one of the most beautiful countries in the world, and he always loved playing there. So he is ”extremely touched.”
Davey, who is from Edinburgh, acknowledged the Scottish Music Awards‘ role in raising funds for the Nordoff and Robbins music therapy charity. So he is ”grateful to come home to Scotland to receive this award.”
