eltonjohn.world was set up in 2002 to deliver a new, dynamic way to serve fellow fans and encourage them to express their fandom. The same team has managed eltonjohn.world ever since. Now let’s meet them!
GEORGE MATLOCK
Co-Founder
George founded eltonjohn.world with Fran Gilles in March 2002.
George was a professional journalist since 1990, and latterly works in public relations.
George has since 2004 worked in Polish community radio in London. In 2006 George launched his own Anglo-Polish community radio station Radio ORLA for the UK, Ireland and Poland. In 2016 George launched London Scottie Club and its podcast range London Scottie Radio. Since the website’s relaunch as EltonJohn.World in 2022, he is also host of Saturday Night’s Alright (for podcasting), an interview series on EltonJohn.World’s Radio Elton John.

Co-Founder
Fran is the web administrator and the technical brains behind the sophisticated eltonjohn.world website.She is based in Belgium.

CHERYL HERMAN
Chief Correspondent
Cheryl is Chief Correspondent at eltonjohn.world.
She has written editorial content for the website extensively since mid-2002. Also a freelance writer, her articles have appeared in household publications such as Reader’s Digest and Cosmopolitan. In addition, Cheryl’s a former art agent and critic who was a regular contributor to Manhattan Arts. She now has an online art and music guide: http://artandmusicguide.blogspot.com .
