A Somerset duo is proving to be a hit with local audiences after performing earlier last month at South Petherton Sports and Social Club, according to the March 2, 2006 Gazette.

Ian and Sally Loingwood, of Words Gets Out, have been producing music together for three years. The pair, who come from Bishops Caundle, rehearse in the living room of their home.

Both have performed at weddings, in pubs, and on board cruise ships. The type of music included within their act is varied, ranging from old party classics such as Elton and Abba, to cocktail party pieces.

During their two-hour set in South Petherton, the audience were on their feet, singing and dancing. Afterwards, Sally said: “We both very much enjoy performing and we get a huge buzz from it.”

Their next gig will be on the 31st of March at Bishops Caundle village hall.
