As EJW readers are aware, Elton has postponed the remainder of his 2020 North American dates because of COVID-19 concerns. With these and thousands of other events being impacted, Ticketmaster is assuring customers that it will issue refunds after consumers and members of Congress complained.

Ticketmaster had originally said only those attending formally canceled events could get their money back.

This week, the company recanted and announced that there will be full refunds for postponed shows that have set a new date.
In a written statement, Ticketmaster President Jared Smith said that more than 30,000 of the 55,000 events scheduled to take place nationally between the first of March and the end of the year have been delayed or canceled, putting the company in a difficult position.
”To be clear, TIcketmaster intends to refund as many tickets as possible in as timely a fashion as is feasible,” Smith wrote. ”We are working every day towards that goal.”
