George Matlock is an incredible host and great interviewer. He’s witty, and he knows what he’s talking about when it comes to Elton John’s music. I really enjoyed spending time talking with him. Happy listening!

It’s always a pleasure to appear on Radio Elton John, and since we met in the early 1970s Elton has been a constant in my life.
He always shines !
Not just for his talent and his showmanship but for the person he is ….
Respect and LOVE always !!

George seeks the answers to all things Elton - the stories behind the people behind the stories behind. Forget that last “behind.” Thoroughly enjoyed my time on Radio Elton John!

I’d like to thank George Matlock for inviting me to his podcast. It’s always a lot of fun chatting with him about my career and current projects. Since many of his listeners are Elton John fans, it’s a pleasure to reflect on the years of collaboration we’ve had and my contributions to his music. We even touched on AI! I hope everyone enjoys the interview as much as I enjoyed being a part of it.

I've had the pleasure of meeting George several times over the years, memorably at the wonderful Gus Dudgeon tribute held in the number one studio at Abbey Road, so it was lovely to reunite with him for his excellent podcast. In spite of several technical difficulties George and I managed to have a lively conversation which I enjoyed enormously, mainly because most of it was about the only subject upon which I can claim to be an expert … Me!

Ian Beck

I had a really good time appearing on the Podcast. The whole thing was very well managed and it was a real pleasure to share my stories and anecdotes from that distant but still vivid time in those far off lands on the Yellow Brick Road.

It’s loadsa fun!
A right riveting listen: well-researched, and full of interesting questions!

Having been an avid follower of the Elton John World podcasts, it was an honor and pleasure to be asked to appear on two of the programs so far. George does an excellent job of gathering facts beforehand and knows just what to ask to get the most out of each of his guests, giving listeners in-depth knowledge and entertainment with each broadcast.

It was a pleasure appearing on George’s eltonjohnworld podcast. In addition to our mutual admiration for Elton’s music, we both hold high regard for Paul Buckmaster’s incredible string arrangements, and I enjoyed our discussing Paul’s contributions to two of my albums.

I felt privileged to be asked as I was only a backroom boy at DJM mainly working in the studio with Caleb Quaye and Hookfoot and other artists at DJM. Talking to George beforehand I laid out my memories but as the recording took place nice and relaxed chat kicked in my memories ran into overdrive and flashbacks brought back those amazing days. Thank you George I was not used to chatting on the 'Radio.

Thank you for asking me to relive the six hours I spent with Elton in 1971 helping to create the classic recording of 'Tiny Dancer’. Your interview took me back to that very special moment and made me realise how important that recording session was for me In establishing my career as a session musician. I hope that all Elton’s fans found it Interesting and Elton got to hear it too.
