John Reid, described by the London Times newspaper on July 13 as “the exotic former manager of Sir Elton John” will be working for the British Labour Party.
Multi-millionnaire Reid is expected to provide “much needed gloss to (Labour’s) tarnished image.”
Reid reportedly takes the credit for transforming Elton into the “Liberace of rock”, the Times reported. He’s a close friend of Margaret McDonagh, the Labour Party’s deputy general secretary. “Mr Reid won’t be an active member politically, but he will give them his support in other ways,” a Reid worker told the newspaper.
