The late Nudie Cohn built an impeccable reputation as one of the most sought after clothiers in Los Angeles, influencing how singers and actors looked. His clients included Elton, John Wayne, Johnny Cash and Tony Curtis.

In fact, a selection of boots and belts Nudie fashioned for Curtis will be going on the auction block–as will clothing, letters, photos, furniture, vases and paintings owned by the entertainer, who died last year. Awards and mementos will also be showcased.

Juliens Auctions, which is located in Beverly Hills, is holding the event on September 17.  A portion of the proceeds from the auction will benefit Shiloh Horse Rescue, a charitable organisation founded by Tony and his wife, Jill, that rescues and rehabilitates abused, neglected and slaughter-bound horses of all types.
