In June, this Web site announced the passing of Myra Kraft.

The wife of New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft died after a battle with cancer.

”We are all heartbroken,” the team said in a statement, calling her death a ”great loss.”

Myra and Robert have given away more than $100 million to organisations involved in everything from changing lives in Israel to helping those hobbled by urban blight in Boston and Worcester.

Their social circle included Elton, who performed their wedding song, Moon River, at  their 40th anniversary celebration in 2003. Also at Gillette Stadium, in 2009, when Elton was in concert with Billy Joel, the singer dedicated Tiny Dancer to the couple, seated in the front row.

Besides her spouse, the 68-year-old left behind a sister, four sons and eight grandchildren.

Robert recently spoke about Myra, and says that Elton has made plans to send a construction crew to his house to create a garden in her memory.

Meanwhile, quarterback Tom Brady talked about how the players know how much this season means to Kraft. Every player and coach will wear a patch in memory of Myra this season.

”Every time we run out with those patches on our jersey, thats who we represent, and well be thinking of him,” Brady says. “Every game will be emotional in that sense, just cause of what it means for him. We always want to represent him well and do our best for him, and especially now.”
