Billboard latest also says Auburn Hills is 3rd-highest grossing venue for its size

We sat on this story for days. We have tried to make sense of it. Here goes…The Palace in Auburn Hills’ Elton John and Billy Joel sell-out dates on May 2 and May 3, 2003, were listed as the top-grossing concert events in the world (combined), according to Billboard magazine.

The shows helped boost the arena to become the third-highest grossing venue of its size from December 2002 through to May 2003.

Elton John and Billy Joel‘s tour topped Billboard magazine’s world’s most profitable touring acts, it was reported back in July  2003.
