BREAKING NOW: The Latest on Elton’s AIDS 2012 Speech

As announced previously, Elton will be taking part in the 19th International AIDS Conference (AIDS 2012) in Washington, D.C. this month.


He will be speaking at 1 p.m. on Monday, July 23.


More highlights are below.


Opening Convocation: 7 p.m., July 22. Includes remarks from D.C. Mayor Vincent C. Gray and former President George W. Bush.

Keynote address by Elton: 1 p.m. July 23. The founder of the EJAF will give the keynote address, Can Public-Private Partnerships Help Those who Think Globally, Act Locally?

Keynote address by former President Bill Clinton: 3:15 p.m. July 27. Clinton will give the keynote address during the closing session of the conference.

Other speakers include Secretary of State Hillary Clinton; Senators John Kerry and Lindsey Graham;; former chief executive and current chairman of Microsoft Bill Gates; World Bank President Jim Yong Kim; and UNAIDS Executive Director Michel Sidibe.
