Simon and Schuster has acquired world rights to a new book, and a portion of profits will be donated to the EJAF.
Dear Me – A Letter to my Sixteen Year Old Self will be published in time for Christmas this year. World rights were bought by deputy publishing director Nigel Stoneman from Joseph Galliano.
Galliano, the editor of monthly magazine Gay Times, has compiled the collection of letters by
celebrities in which they write to themselves at the age of sixteen, giving advice and guidance for the future.
Stoneman said: “When Joseph secured a very unique contribution from Elton John we immediately thought that this book project should be a tie-in with Elton’s brilliant charity. The letters I have read so far, which have come from a variety of well known musicians, writers and actors, are funny, insightful and moving. They offer a unique, intimate window into the lives and personalities of all the contributors.”
The full list of personalities has yet to be revealed.
