For the sixth consecutive year, The Colosseum at Caesars Palace has been named Top Venue Under 5,000 seats at the recent Billboard Touring Awards

The annual award was based on global box office numbers reported to Billboard Boxscore from Oct. 1, 2010, through Sept. 30, 2011.

The ongoing success of the world-class venue can be credited to the stellar entertainers gracing the stage there, including Elton and Rod Stewart..

In 2011, The Colosseum at Caesars Palace was home to Chers sell-out run of the final shows of her three-year residency, (which culminated in February), along with the first year of 54 sold-out performances of Celine Dions triumphant return that began in March.  In August, Rod kicked off the first two runs of sell-out performances of his two-year residency of Rod Stewart: The Hits. and in September Elton returned for his second residency at The Colosseum with the premiere of his sold-out run of The Million Dollar Piano.
